11 November 1092Seljuk Sultanate [wars]Following the death of the Seljuk sultan Malik Shah, he is succeeded by his son Mahmud I, who is immediately attacked by his brothers. Torn by civil war, the Seljuk sultanate disintegrates as its provinces and cities become independent under local dynasties.
