Incan society is based on a strict hierarchy, with an emperor who rules with absolute power. Their religion is based on sun-worship, and they are skilled builders who create a system of roads and irrigation.
1486–1494Japan [law and government]Having expelled rampaging feudal armies, leaders of the insurgent Yamashiro Ikki league (in which the gentry have joined with the peasants) meet at Uji, Japan, to formulate a provisional government for the province.
16 June 1487England [Wars of the Roses (1455–85)]King Henry VII of England defeats the army of the pretender, Lambert Simnel, who has marched from a landing in Lancashire to the battle site at East Stoke, near Newark, Nottinghamshire, England. Simnel's major backer, the Earl of Lincoln, is killed in this last battle of the Wars of the Roses.
