1792 BCBabylonian Empire [administration]King Hammurabi the Great establishes the first Babylonian Empire and a golden age of peace, prosperity, and law and order. He extends his empire west to the Mediterranean, east to Elam, defeating Rim-Sin, ling of Elam, who occupied most of Sumeria, and north to the land of the Assyrians, conquering their city of Eshnunna.
