24/7 business

    0.01 sec.

24/7 business

Conducting business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This concept has become more prevalent since the focus of companies on customer service, for example permanently open supermarkets.

In practice it may not mean that a good or service can be purchased 24/7 but that customer back-up is available 24/7. The advent of the Internet has made it easier for companies to operate 24/7. Although the physical business may be closed during certain hours the virtual business in the form of a Web site can be permanently available to provide information and facilitate consumer transactions.
