Abigail (lived c. 11th century BC)

In the Old Testament, the wife of Nabal, the rich man who refused hospitality to David when fleeing from Saul. Abigail intercepted David when he returned later and won his heart so that he did not chastise Nabal. After Nabal's death, David took Abigail as his wife.
