Assy

Plateau in Haute-Savoie, eastern France, 1,000 m/3,280 ft above sea level. The area has numerous sanatoriums. The church of Notre Dame de Toute Grâce, begun in 1937 and consecrated in 1950, is adorned with works by Braque, Chagall, Matisse, Derain, Rouault, and other artists.
