AT command set

Set of standard commands allowing a modem to be controlled via software. These commands are used via special communications software to control a modem's actions from the computer console. The most common are ATZ to reset the modem and ATH to hang the modem up at the end of a call. The set was invented by Hayes Computer Products for its earliest modems.
