Aberaeron
| Coastal resort and administrative headquarters of Ceredigion (Cardiganshire), central Wales, 20 km/13 mi south of Aberystwyth; population (2001) 1,520. It has a harbour surrounded by brightly painted Georgian houses, and facilities for sailing and sea angling. There are cliff-top walks. |
| Aberaeron was a planned township; the town and seaport were born when a local landowner built a new harbour, warehouses, shops, and houses. Construction went on from around 1807 to around 1850. |
| Llanerchaeron Estate, a Georgian house and grounds, is open to the public, although it is currently under restoration. The Aberaeron carnival is held annually, on the August bank holiday weekend. |
