Abraham and Isaac

Title of two musical works. The first is a sacred ballad for baritone and chamber orchestra by Stravinsky (Hebrew text), composed 1962–64 and first performed in Jerusalem, Israel, on 23 August 1964. The second is Canticle II by Benjamin Britten for alto, tenor, and piano, composed in 1952 for Kathleen Ferrier and Peter Pears and performed by them in Nottingham, England, on 21 January 1952.
