Absecon Inlet

Inlet of the Atlantic Ocean into Absecon Channel and the island-filled, 4 km/2.5 mi–long Absecon Bay, to the northwest of Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. A break in the barrier beach lining the New Jersey coast, it marks the northeast end of Absecon Island, on which lie Atlantic City and other resorts. The resort town of Absecon lies on the northwest shore of the bay; population (1990) 7,300.

The agreement outlines the redeveloper's plan to convert the site, currently known as Garwood Mills, on the northeast inlet of Atlantic City at Absecon Inlet, into a community of luxury residential, retail and recreational space.
The project also includes the replenishment of more than a quarter-mile of bulkhead along the Absecon Inlet frontage of Atlantic City, beginning on Oriental Avenue, as well as the installation of handicapped ramps at 12 different streets and pedestrian crossovers.
