Abū Hanīfah, Al-Nu'man (c. 700-780)

Sunni religious leader and jurist. He was the founder of the Hanafī School, the earliest school of Islamic law, which dominates Turkey and India. He was born in Kufa, Iraq, and died in Baghdad.
