    0.01 sec.

Abul Hasan (1589–1616)

Mogul painter. He worked at the court of the emperor Jahangir, specializing in portraits but also executing several delicate, closely observed animal studies. A fine example of his work is Portrait of Jahangir Holding a Portrait of Akbar early 17th century (Museé Guimet, Paris). Like many of the Mogul artists of the period, he was influenced by Western art, particularly in his use of colour.
