Acton

Town in Middlesex County, east Massachusetts, USA; population (1998 est) 19,200. It is located 34 km/21 mi west-northwest of Boston, and was first settled c. 1680. Incorporated in 1735, Acton was industrial in the 19th century, but is now essentially an affluent suburb of Boston.

There are two discovery museums, one for children and one focusing on science. There is also a theatre.
