Adam of Bremen (lived 11th century)| German historian. In 1068 he was made canon of Bremen Cathedral and principal of the cathedral school. He wrote the Gesta Hammaburgensis Ecclesiae Pontificum 1072–76, a history of Hamburg and of the spread of Christianity in the north. |
| He probably died 1076; the dates of his birth and death and definite particulars of his life are unknown. |
