White solid, found in nature as limestone, marble, and chalk. It is a valuable resource, used in the making of iron, steel, cement, glass, slaked lime, bleaching powder, sodium carbonate and bicarbonate, and many other industrially useful substances.

Sales of Adcal, used for treating osteoporosis, jumped by 32 per cent to pounds 6million.
They reported a 78 per cent rise in revenues for the first half of the year with their top product Adcal, which combats bone condition osteoporosis, seeing sales soar by 59 per cent.
