Addison

Town in Du Page County, northeast Illinois, USA; population (1990) 32,100. It is situated on Salt Creek, 29 km/18 mi northwest of Chicago. Although largely a bedroom community, it contains some foundries and a factory producing industrial heating equipment. O'Hare International Airport is 10 km/6 mi to the northeast.

Town in Dallas County, northeast Texas, USA; population (1990) 8,800. It is located 19 km/12 mi north of downtown Dallas, and is a growing residential suburb also known for its municipal airport.
