Aldus PageMaker

Professional desktop publishing (DTP) application. Released in 1985 for the Apple Macintosh computer, it was the first commercially available DTP system and was largely responsible for the wide uptake and use of Macintosh computers in the publishing industry.

In 1986 a version was released for the new Microsoft Windows system on IBM-compatible personal computers.
