Agutter, Jenny (Jennifer Anne) (1952– )

English actor. Her role as Bobbie in the television (1968) and film (1970) adaptations of E Nesbit's The Railway Children (1906) won her early acclaim, and she later received a BAFTA award for Equus (1977) and an Emmy for The Snow Goose (1971).

Agutter was born in Taunton, Somerset. She made her film debut at the age of 11 in East of Sudan (1964), and appeared in Ballerina (1965). Hollywood success followed The Railway Children, with roles in Logan's Run (1976), The Eagle Has Landed (1976), Amy (1981), and An American Werewolf in London (1981). She has also appeared in Child's Play 2 (1991) and Bluejuice (1995).

Her television work has included guest appearances in the series Murder, She Wrote, The Equalizer, Boon, Love Hurts, and Heartbeat.
