Aeolus
| In Greek mythology, the ruler or keeper of the winds. He kept them imprisoned in a cave on the island of Aeolia, which came to be identified with Lipari, one of the Aeolian islands that lie north of eastern Sicily. |
| According to Homer, he was the son of Hippotes, and had six sons and six daughters who married one another. |
