Albertville| Resort town at the entrance to the Val d'Arly in the département of Savoie, southeast France, situated on the right bank of the River Arly not far from its confluence with the Isère; population (1999) 17,300. It was the scene of the 1992 Winter Olympics. |

Albertville| Town in Marshall County, northeast Alabama, USA; population (1990) 14,500. It is situated on Sand Mountain, 32 km/20 mi northwest of Gadsden. It is an agricultural market and processing hub; the centre of Alabama's poultry industry, it has plants for the processing, grading, and packing of chickens and eggs. Textiles and furniture are also manufactured here. |
