Albright, Horace Marden

Albright, Horace Marden (1890–1987)

US conservationist and business executive. He helped to found the US National Park Service in 1916 while an official of the Department of the Interior. Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park from 1919–29 , he went on to become the second director of the park service. He resigned in 1933 to start a second career in business.

Albright became vice-president and general manager of the US Potash Company. He became president of the company in 1946.
