Alchemilla

Genus in the family Rosaceae of about 200 perennial plants of northern temperate regions and the mountains of tropical Africa. A. vulgaris, with broadly lobed leaves, and yellowish-green flowers in loose clusters, is lady's mantle; A. alpina, Alpine lady's mantle; these and other species are found in Britain.
