Alderley Edge

Town in Cheshire, England, 10 km/6 mi northwest of Macclesfield; population (2001) 5,300. It developed in the 19th century as a residential area on the main railway line from Crewe to Manchester. The Edge itself is a wooded sandstone cliff.

The church at Alderley Edge has a stained glass window designed by William Morris in 1873.
