Alexander Nevsky

Film music by Sergey Prokofiev, composed in 1938 for the film by Sergie Eisenstein. It was later arranged as a cantata, Op. 78, for mezzo-soprano, chorus, and orchestra. The work was first performed in Moscow, Russia, on 17 May 1939.
