Alexander's Feast

Oratorio by George Frideric Handel, a setting of the ode by the English poet John Dryden with words arranged and added to by Newburgh Hamilton. It was first produced at Covent Garden, London, England, on 19 February 1736. Handel's Concerto Grosso in C major, HWV 318 was also premiered in the same concert and is consequently sometimes referred to as ‘Alexander's Feast’.
