Alexander City

Town in Tallapoosa County, east-central Alabama, USA; population (2000) 15,000. It is situated 70 km/43 mi northeast of Montgomery. Settled in 1835, it is primarily an industrial city, manufacturing textiles, cast iron, and lumber products.
