Alghisi, Paris Francesco (1666–1743)

Italian composer. He studied under OrazioPolarolo, organist of Brescia cathedral, and was engaged for some time at the Polish court. Two of his operas were produced in Venice: Amor di Curzio per la patria (1690) and Il trionfo della continenza (1691). He also wrote several oratorios and other works.
