Ali, Maulana Shaukat (1873–1938)

Muslim Indian political activist. The brother of Maulana Muhammad Ali, he organized Anjuman-i-Khuddam-i-Kaaha in 1913 to provide support for Muslim causes in the Middle East. He later joined the Khilafat movement and allied with the Indian National Congress.

After the outbreak of World War I, the continued activities of Anjuman-i-Khuddam-i-Kaaba led to the detention of both brothers 1915–19.
