Aliakmon Line

In World War II, Greek defensive line running some 96 km/60 mi from the Aegean coast near Mount Olympus to the Yugoslavian border north of Arnissa.

It was in the process of being occupied by British troops April 1941 when it was outflanked by the Germans who passed through the gap between it and the Greek Army concentrated in Albania.
