Allison (or Alison or Alyson), Richard (lived 16th–17th century)

English composer. He first appeared as a contributor to East's Whole Book of Psalms in 1592 and published a collection of church melodies set for voices and instruments, The Psalmes of David in Meter, in 1599. Other works include lute music and 24 songs for voices and instruments, An Howres Recreation .., published in 1606.
