Allyson, June (1917–2006)

US film actor. She was known for her husky voice, endearing smile, and girl-next-door image. She was popular in musicals and dramas in the 1940s and 1950s. Her work includes the musical comedy Two Girls and a Sailor (1944), the costume drama The Three Musketeers (1948), and the musical biopic The Glenn Miller Story (1954), opposite James Stewart.

She was married to actor and singer Dick Powell (1904–63) from 1945 until his death.
