Almahide

Opera by Giovanni Bononcini (libretto after John Dryden's Almanzor and Almahide), first produced at the Queen's Theatre, Haymarket, London, on 10 January 1710. According to the music historian Charles Burney, it was the first opera to be performed in England wholly in Italian.
