| The Holland Marsh on the southern edge of the Lake Simcoe basin was
originally a Carex rostrata fen and Alnus swamp in the early 1900s,
before farmers established vegetable gardening for the southern Ontario
market. The ISAAC panel of six
aeroallergens was used: Dermatophagoides farinae, Dermatophagoides
pteronyssinus, cat, Alternaria tenuis, mixed tree pollen (Betula
verrucosa, Alnus glutinosa, Corylus avellana), and mixed grass pollen
(Dactylis glomerata, Lolium perennae, Festuca pratensis, Pod pratensis,
Phleum pratense, Avena eliator). |
