Alpert, Herb (1935– )
| US musician and record company executive. A trumpeter, and record and film soundtrack producer, he began as a songwriter for Sam Cooke, before establishing and leading the instrumental group Tijuana Brass in 1963. He cofounded the record labels A&M Records with promoter Jerry Moss (in 1962) and Almo (in 1994). |
