Alfonsine tables
| Medieval astronomical work, giving the positions of the planets and other data, prepared during the reign of Alfonso X (‘el Sabio’) of Castile and León (1252–84). The Alfonsine tables were the most important astronomical tables until the 16th century. |
| The original Spanish version is now lost and its authorship is unknown, but a Latin translation was published in Venice 1483 and reprinted many times since. The tables are an improved version of those prepared by the Cordoban astronomer al-Zarqale (c. 1029–87) and usually known as the Toledan tables. |
