Altair

Brightest star in the constellation Aquila and the 13th-brightest star in the night sky. It is a white star about 16 light years away from the Sun and forms the Summer Triangle with the stars Deneb (in the constellation Cygnus) and Vega (in Lyra).

In August 2001, it was announced that Altair spins so fast that it is 14% wider at its equator than from pole to pole.
