Measurement of height, usually given in metres (or feet) above sea level.

In astronomy, angular distance of an object above the horizon, ranging from 0° on the horizon to 90° at the zenith. Together with the azimuth, it forms a system of horizontal coordinates for specifying the positions of celestial bodies.
