Alturas

Town and administrative headquarters of Modoc County, extreme northeast California, USA; population (2000) 2,900. It is situated on the Modoc Plateau, 340 km/210 mi north-northeast of Sacramento, and stands on the Pit River at the head of a broad valley. It is the trade centre for a beef and sheep raising, potato and alfalfa farming, and lumbering area. Alturas serves as the headquarters to the Modoc National Forest, and is a recreational service town. Founded in 1869, it was near the centre of the 1870s Modoc War.

In Shasta Shasta County County, on Old Oregon Trail from Old 44 Shasta RTPA Drive to College Drive, westerly along Old 02-Shasta Alturas Road to Shasta View, and along College View Drive to Davis Ridge Road.
The major shareholder of Alturas is Equinox Minerals Limited, a publicly traded company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (Symbol:EQN) and the Australian Stock Exchange, which will hold approximately 70% of the Alturas Common Shares.
Acts slated to perform both days include The Beach Toys, Mariachi Divas, Nuns for Fun, Boulevard Knights, Alturas, Kids of Rock Theatre, LA Salsa Kids, Flying Lindy Hoppers, Antelope Valley College Jazz Ensemble and The Billies.
