Amadigi di Gaula

Opera by Handel (libretto adapted from A H de la Motte's Amadis de Grèce, set by André Destouches, 1699), first produced at the King's Theatre, Haymarket, London, England, on 25 May 1715. The story tells how Amadigi and Oriana are united when the interfering infatuated sorceress Melissa abandons her deceptions.
