| It is very important that this condition be discovered early in life as blindness can result in the amblyopic eye if not treated. Amblyopia normally only affects one eye, but it is possible to be amblyopic in both eyes if both are similarly deprived of a good, clear visual image. Although the amblyopic eye has the capability to see, the brain 'turns off ' this eye because vision is very blurred. |
