Ambrose, Curtly Elconn Lynwall (1963- )West Indies cricketer, born in Antigua. He was a very tall right-arm opening bowler, whose ability to bowl fast and accurately whilst extracting bounce and movement from even the most benign pitches made him the world's most feared pace bowler in the 1990s. In 2000 he became only the fifth player to take 400 or more Test wickets. He played county cricket for Northamptonshire between 1989 and 1996.
