Evergreen tree belonging to the cashew family, native to India but now widely cultivated for its large oval fruits in other tropical and subtropical areas, such as the West Indies. (Mangifera indica, family Anacardiaceae.)

Simple Bhindi Sabzi Bhindi (okra) 250 grams Turmeric 1/1 tsp Amchoor (dry mango powder) 1/1 tsp Onion, 1 sliced Fresh tomato, 1 sliced Crushed ginger and garlic, 1 teaspoon Salt to taste Green chilli, 1 chopped Oil/ghee, 2 tablespoons Garam masala, 1 teaspoon Darshan's special.
