Amityville

Suburb of the town of Babylon, Suffolk County, southeast New York, USA; population (1990) 9,300. It is situated on the Great South Bay on Long Island's South Shore, 52 km/32 mi east-southeast of Manhattan. It is a residential and resort village on the dividing line between Suffolk and Nassau counties.
