Anami, Korechika (1897–1945)
| Japanese general. He held several commands in China and Manchuria 1938–43, before being sent to New Guinea to take charge of operations there. He became director general of army aviation in 1944, and was appointed minister of war in April 1945. He committed suicide on 15 August 1945. |
