Anathomia Mundi

    0.01 sec.

Anathomia Mundi

Anatomical text published in 1316 by the Italian surgeon and professor Mondino de Luzzi, based on his translation of Galen's On the Use of Parts (2nd century AD), and his own dissections to prove Galen's theories. It became the standard anatomical text used to train doctors for more than 200 years, until replaced by Johannes Guinter's translation of Galen's more important text On Anatomical Procedures in 1531.
