Andreas, Dwayne (Orville) (1918– )

US corporate executive and government advisor. A successful businessman who turned Archer Daniels Midland into a global agribusiness corporation from 1970–97, Andreas also advised US governments on international trade, particularly with the Soviet bloc. He was noted for his generosity in political contributions to both the Republican and Democrat parties, and forged ties with leading US political figures from Vice-President Hubert Humphrey in the 1960s to President Bill Clinton in the 1990s.
