| Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City, where she studied both acting and fine arts. After appearing in television advertisements and on stage in off-Broadway productions, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she appeared in a number of short-lived television comedy series – such as Molloy (1990), Ferris Bueller (1990), and Herman's Head (1991) – before landing her role in Friends. She was married to actor Brad Pitt 2000–05. Her father is US actor John Aniston, a former star of the popular US soap opera Days of Our Lives. |
