Anstruther

Harbour town and holiday resort in Fife unitary authority, Scotland, on the Firth of Forth, 14 km/9 mi southwest of St Andrews; population (2001) 3,400. It was formed by an amalgamation of the royal burghs of Kilrenny, Anstruther Easter, and Anstruther Wester in 1929. Fishing and the manufacture of oilskin and golf equipment are the principal industries.

The historical development of Scotland's fishing industry is presented at the Scottish Fisheries Museum overlooking the harbour.
