Antony House

Early 18th-century house in Cornwall, England, 8 km/5 mi west of Plymouth. The architect is unknown, but the house was built for William Carew and was given to the National Trust in 1961 by John Carew Pole.

The central block of silver-grey Pentewan stone has wings of red brick, and a porte-cochère (a carriage-entrance leading into a courtyard) was added in the 19th century. Some 17th-century buildings, including the stable block, remain from an earlier house which belonged to the historian, Richard Carew, author of The Survey of Cornwall, 1602.
