Anza Borrego Desert State Park
| State park in south California, USA; area 2,430 sq km/940 sq mi. It is situated in the southwest of the Colorado Desert, extending from near the Salton Sea in the north to near the border with Baja California, Mexico, in the south. A region of arroyos, canyons, and badlands, it includes naval reservations and the Ocotillo Wells Vehicular Recreation Area. Borrego Springs, in the north, is the main settlement; population (1990) 2,200. The Coyote, Jacumba, and Tierra Blanca mountains lie to the west. |
